Cigar Prices in Morocco: The Official 2026 Price List
By the CIGARA house, published , updated

How much does a cigar cost in Morocco? The question has a more precise answer than in almost any other country: every legally sold cigar has an official price, the same everywhere, set by ministerial order and published by customs circular. This guide reproduces the main ranges of that price list, brand by brand, in the version in force since 1 April 2026, and explains what the latest wave of increases changed. Per stick, the list runs from 15 DH for a Quintero Puritos to 2,800 DH for a Cohiba Behike BHK 56, and the heart of the market sits between 100 and 300 DH.
Five brands have a dedicated guide: Cohiba prices in Morocco, vitola by vitola, boxes, tubes and cigarillos, Montecristo prices in Morocco, from the No. 4 to the Línea 1935, Romeo y Julieta prices, from the Romeo tubes to the Churchills, Partagas prices, from the Serie D to the Lusitanias, and Davidoff prices in Morocco, with the Winston Churchill boxes, the editions, Camacho and Zino.
How the prices are set
The mechanism rests on two texts. An order of the Ministry of Economy and Finance approves the retail price of every manufactured tobacco reference; a circular of the Customs Administration (douane.gov.ma) then distributes it with the complete list as an annex. Two texts shape the current price list: circular no. 6704/214 of 30 December 2025, which rebuilt the whole list as of 1 January 2026, and circular no. 6730/214 of 31 March 2026, which amended it as of 1 April 2026.
The practical consequence: within the official channel there is neither a bargain nor a tourist trap. A price well below this list signals a product outside the channel, hence very probably a counterfeit; our guide to the brands available details the authentication reflexes. The prices below are inclusive of tax, per stick unless stated otherwise.
What the April 2026 wave changed
The March 2026 circular is surgical: nearly half the cigar references (about 130 out of 274) were raised, most often by 10 DH per vitola, that is +3 to +10%; the Cuban entry level takes the strongest relative increases (up to +17% at Quintero). A few benchmarks:
| Reference | January 2026 | April 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Montecristo No. 4 | 140 DH | 150 DH |
| Montecristo Leyenda | 800 DH | 810 DH |
| Romeo y Julieta Churchills | 330 DH | 340 DH |

| Quintero Nationales | 30 DH | 35 DH |
| Davidoff Royal Release Robusto (box of 10) | 14,100 DH | 15,000 DH |
Conversely, Cohiba did not move, nor did Bolivar, Punch, Ramón Allones, top-end Trinidad or the local references. The circular also approved new references (Davidoff Year of the Horse 2026 at 9,390 DH for a box of ten, the Camacho Broadleaf and Nicaragua Toro ranges, Davidoff Puro d’Oro Dominicana) and removed no cigar from the list.

The approved New World
Beyond the Havanas, the list confirms the dominance of the Davidoff galaxy, but not its exclusivity: Oliva (spelt “Olivia” in the official list), Horacio, Flor de Copan and Pleiades appear as well. The Davidoff channel (95 references of the brand, plus Camacho, Zino and Avo) has its own price list in our guide to Davidoff prices in Morocco; here is the rest of the approved New World.
| Brand | Per stick or per box | Benchmark |
|---|---|---|
| Oliva and NUB | 85–300 DH per stick | Serie V Melanio Figurado at 300 DH |
| Horacio | 150–270 DH per stick | Nicaraguan boutique house, Classic range from 150 DH |
| Vega Fina | 30–120 DH per stick | the most accessible Dominican |
| Flor de Copan, Pleiades | 81 DH per stick | Honduran and Dominican stand-ins |
| Cusano (bundles) | 720–880 DH for 16 | that is 45–55 DH per stick |
The exceptional-gift market, for its part, is played at Davidoff and its editions; our guide to the brands available places each house within the Moroccan offer.
The local references
Finally, the list approves a family of unbranded references, designated by their dimensions alone, in which the local Casablanca production can be recognised: Corona at 40 DH, Roberto and Romeo from 50 to 165 DH, Cesar at 100 DH, Cubano at 180–200 DH and Premium up to 400 DH per stick. A “Morocco 2020” box of ten is approved at 3,850 DH. None of these references was touched by the April wave.
Cigarillos, pocket luxury
The format that puts a great brand in your pocket for under 200 DH — the brands on offer and how to enjoy them are covered in our guide to cigarillos in Morocco. Reading the list like an aficionado
Three practical lessons emerge from these tables. First, the affordable Havana exists: José L. Piedra, Quintero or Guantanamera put a real Cuban cigar under 40 DH, and the heart of the market (Montecristo No. 4, entry-level Romeo, Partagas Mille Fleurs) plays out between 100 and 300 DH; our beginner’s guide helps you choose within that zone. Second, the regulated price is your best authenticity check: memorise the order of magnitude of your favourite vitolas, and any flagrant gap will tell you where not to buy; the right addresses remain the official channel. Finally, the list now moves twice a year: December and March in the last two waves. This page will be updated with every circular; the date at the top of the guide is authoritative.
Frequently asked questions
- What is the cheapest cigar in Morocco?
- On the official April 2026 list, the Quintero Puritos is approved at 15 DH per stick, followed by the Guantanamera Minutos at 18 DH and the José L. Piedra range at 32 DH: real Havanas, rolled in Cuba. Among cigarillos, a packet of 10 Dux sells for 16 DH and Fleur de Savane starts at 32 DH for a packet of 20. The unbranded local references start at 40 DH per stick.
- Did cigar prices go up in 2026?
- Twice. The circular of 30 December 2025 rebuilt the whole list as of 1 January 2026, then the circular of 31 March 2026 raised nearly half the cigar references as of 1 April: roughly +3 to +10% on everyday Havanas (Montecristo No. 4 from 140 to 150 DH, Romeo y Julieta Churchills from 330 to 340 DH), and up to +17% on the Quintero entry level. Cohiba, top-end Trinidad and the local puro did not move. These waves extend the 2023 tax overhaul, which had already quadrupled some Havanas.
- Where can you consult the official price list?
- In the circulars of the Customs and Indirect Tax Administration (douane.gov.ma), which publish the complete list of retail prices for manufactured tobacco as an annex: circular no. 6704/214 of 30 December 2025 carries the base list, and circular no. 6730/214 of 31 March 2026 the amendments in force. The business press relays the headlines at each wave. This page is updated with every new circular.
